The Direct Export Company Shining Wonders Holiday Forest consists of a selection that will satisfy virtually any Christmas tree need that your company may have, all from one factory, in one location.

Our Christmas tree collection has green trees in a variety of price points from entry level, produced solely with PVC tips (promotional models); to high end, botanically correct, all PE tip varieties. We feature green trees, white flocked trees, tinsel trees in a variety of colors, and, color flocked trees. We feature specialty trees with weeping branches, display trees, mini-trees, half-trees, and trees designed for specific applications. And, if you cannot find the tree that you want, we can make trees to your exact specifications.

We feature several lighting systems from which to choose including incandescent, LED clear and multi-colored mini lights, globe lights, and Candle light varieties. Direct Export Company is a semi-exclusive source for the patented Stay-lit® lights that features a microchip in each socket to keep current running through the light strands. With Stay-lit® strands, lights will stay lit if a single bulb goes out, is broken or even missing from the strand! Our standard lighting systems are configured with interconnected light plug nests. Direct Export now features trees with center-pole power technology, that easily powers the tree when you connect the center poles. You decide on the system that you want and we’ll build it.

Most trees in the Shining Wonders Holiday Forest are available in sizes from 2 feet to 15 feet in height and up to 10 feet in diameter.

What makes up an Everlasting Tree

SHINING WONDERS TREE

An Everlasting Tree is made of 5 basic components: The center pole, branches, tips, base, and lighting system (for prelit trees only).

The Center Pole

The center pole is made of steel and acts as the trunk for the tree. It is what give the tree its height and sturdiness.

The Branches

The branches are constructed of heavy gauge wire and attached to the center pole by either a hinging system or hook system. The branches are what give the tree it’s profile and shape. Also the branches are what hold the tips.

Tips

The tips are made either of polyvinylchloride (PVC) or polyethylene (PE). Most trees are made from either PVC or a combination of PVC and PE. Higher end trees will be made fully from PE.

Polyvinylchloride (PVC) is formed into a sheet, cut into ribbons, and spun onto a wire. PVC is relatively soft, lightweight, and can come in a variety of colors. It is the least expensive way to make a tip.

Polyethylene (PE) is melted then injected into a mold the shape of an evergreen tip, which contains a wire. The material cools and the mold is open to reveal the tip. PE tips are much more realistic looking, heavier, and can come in a variety of colors. Molded PE tips are a more costly method of making tips.

Base

The center pole of the tree is placed into a base (or stand) which holds the tree upright.

Lighting System

There are two types of lights used for Everlasting Christmas Trees: Incandescent and Light Emitting Diode (LED). The former is the most common method of producing light where a filiment in a lightbulb is energized by electricity and glows emitting light and heat; and, the latter is a semiconductor that produces light by the movement of electrons through that semiconductor material. LED produces much more light and far less heat then Incandescent lights.
